AOTW: Rivalry

You think you’re cool? You think you’re bad? You ain’t got nothin’! Nothin’, readers! Particularly those of you who happen to also have a Y chromosome! (Ladies.) Nothin’, says I! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that, I’m sure you all have copious amounts of things and are plenty “bad” and/or “cool”. But if you happened to be yelling at me in the future reading this (and I assume none of you are. No DeLoreans or TARDIS’s have materialized in my immediate vicinity so I guess that means you all have senses of humor. Or ran out of plutonium. But I digress) then you’d be channeling this week’s pick for our passive pokémon power! Prepare for the one-upsmanship- this is Ability of the Week: Rivalry!

Gobble Up These Fun Techs

Happy Thanksgiving! If you’re not American… sucks, eat a turkey sandwich. While everyone is sitting around the warm fire stuffing themselves with stuffing I thought it would be nice to have a bit of a turkey day themed look at the TCG. So with Cities around the corner and the pressure to build up player points building like the pressure behind Uncle Jerry’s belt lets remember to enjoy the game we are so thankful for and have some fun.

Rare Article: VGC So Far

First off, I'd like to wish everyone a happy Colonialism Day. Second, I would like to thank SBJ for filling in for me last week, as I was having connection issues and couldn't get Rare Article up. If you recall, two weeks ago I promised a review of what's been going on with this year's VGC. I mean to fulfill that promise, so here is the article that I should have had up a long time ago:

Shattered Gemstones Chapter 3: Denial of a Mother

Chapter 3 is live! Sorry I didn't get it up earlier today , I was away from the internet all day. (totally not just goofing off playing Skyward Sword, that would be silly) So yeah, in this chapter we meet Tess, the third of our four narrators. WARNING: There is some brief explicit language in this chapter. I trust you all to be mature enough to deal with it, it was in there to keep the dialogue how it needed to be. This chapter's the longest yet but actually took a short amount of time to write, and was fun to do. Enjoy!

Pokemon Announcement Coming Soon

Pokemon will have its first Jump Festa showing this year, and it looks like we can expect some sort of announcement. The latest issue of Jump has a blurb for the upcoming event which says "Pokemon makes first appearance at JF!! Surprising information on the show floor?" The blurb also teases that a "big surprise" awaits in the Pokemon booth.

This year's Jump Festa will be held on December 17th and 18th at Makuhari Messe.

Saturday Sketch

It sure has been an interesting week here around the Pokémon Podcast, there was a Podcast with Marriland, A contest announced, an announcement of a new shirt designed by Wil, shirt reprints, and even a Rare Article by SBJ himself!

Feel free to check out all of this stuff at the links at the end!

Meanwhile on this week’s edition of Saturday Sketch!

Well throughout the years there have been many Pokémon games, and many new Starters have been introduced from just the originals from Red and Blue “Green”.  Also along with the starters there have been different professors.

Here in this image we have all of the Starters up to Generation IV along with their Professors.

It’s interesting to see how many Pokémon we have grown with and began our Pokémon journeys with over the years.

So my question today is,

Who is your favorite Professor, Starter Pokémon and or Starter Evolutions?

“The two do not have to be from the same generation.”

In this image it shows up to Generation IV, but as we all know by now there are Five Generations now.

So with the addition of the Pokémon Tepig, Oshawott, and Snivy’s evolutions and also the Professor Juniper, Feel free to answer in any way possible!

The Collision of work in this image was done by the deviantART user ~XxSlyCatxX

The user did speak of updating the image in their comments section; however I didn’t find any updated images in their gallery.

Thanks for joining me for this Weeks Saturday Sketch!

But hey, you guys aren’t here to get a weather report! You’re here to read up on some Abilities! Well, nothing like current events to create a topic, eh? This is Ability of the Week: Ice Body AND Rain Dish!
