Luck and Fighting Fighting

They came at the hands of decks that ran fighting pokemon. The first loss was to a Terrakion. My opponent started with a Terrakion then communicated for a Terrakion and those two alone rolled over me. The second loss was the same situation but with two Donphan. Cather was also key in these losses as my opponents waited and were patient, waiting for me to play a Magnamite, in order to catcher up the biggest threat and take care of it early.

Top Cut

Milwaukee Cities for the Pokémon TCG was this past weekend. This was probably the best tournament that @WhimsyTackle crew placed in. Most importantly, I wanted to give our TCG Editor, Vinnie, a huge shout out. Vinnie is the first and only member in our group to place and get Top Cut. For those of you who don't play the TCG, Top Cut is the final rounds of the tournament(s). While Vinnie didn't go all the way to the end, it was still a huge accomplishment. Congrats Vinnie!

I would also like to take a moment to apologize about the lack of a Podcast. We've been trying to get a pretty huge Pokémon dude on the episode, but schedules keep conflicting. We will have a new show by the end of the week, we promise! As well as 3 more shows this month. We are dedicated to bring you 4 more shows before 2012!

Saturday Sketch

This week may seem a little different, because of the hype of the new Pokémon movie; I am doing this Saturday Sketch at last minute.

Thus being, I am still providing a something this week.

Here we have one of the Official Movie posters of the two – Pokémon movies.

If you didn’t know yet, there are two movies that Premier in the United States this month “sorry for those not in the United States and do not have access to these movies yet”.

 

The first movie premiering in select theaters only on Saturday, December 03, 2011 is Pokémon the Movie White Victini and Zekrom, while the second movie Premiering on Cartoon Network, Saturday, December 10, 2011 is Pokémon The Movie Black Victini and Reshiram.

 

From what I have read the two movies have a very similar storyline however featuring Zekrom for one movie and Reshiram for the other.

 

The movie poster looks amazing as an eye popper attention grabber, with its flashy lighting and what not’s.

The two movies together make up to 14 Pokémon movies in total, counting these two as one together.

White will only be airing at select theaters for Saturday, and Sunday.

While Black will be airing at a certain time on Cartoon Network Saturday, and Sunday the following week.

Okay, I have to say this: My internet sucks. Remember when the Internet was in its 56K era? That's how slow the connection at my home is. But maybe none of you had even heard of 56K for you're all young like that. And I'm ancient. Everytime I want to load up the PKMNCAST page, it stops at the banner and takes FOREVER to continue to load. So I would sit in front of the screen, open my mouth, and attack. Nope, not with Hyper Beam, because I don't wanna recharge. I would Yawn.

Saturday Sketch

Welcome to the one and only “well possibly not only” Saturday Sketch!

I’m going to make things short and simple this week. So without further ado, here we go!

 

As some of you may know, the new Legend of Zelda video game came out last week, and some of us being Nintendo fans, we are always enjoying Nintendo games.

So on a Pokémon related note this image is of “Pokémon meets Zelda.”

With Link as Snivy.

Princess Zelda as Meloetta. “An unreleased Black and White Pokémon.”

And Ganon as Emboar.

 

In my opinion I see the Meloetta as more of a Kirlia; this is because on Bulbapedia it shows Meloetta as a Red haired Looking Mime, with a white and black body.

What I enjoyed about this image was how fierce Ganon/Emboar Looks.
