AOTW: Tinted Lens

If you paid any degree of attention to older episodes of It’s Super Effective!, you know well and good that my favorite member of my roster of digital cockfighters is my Electivire, Tigerzord. The main reason that the Thunderbolt Pokémon is the MVP of my sextet of scrappers is very simple: with the move set I’ve outfitted him with, he can hit 14 of the 17 elemental types in the game for 2x super effective damage. As far as I’m concerned, type-coverage is the name of the game in Pokémon. Well, okay, no, “Pokémon” is the name of the game in Pokémon, but type-coverage is at least the subtitle. Tigerzord’s type-coverage is about as ideal as you can get, but all too often, you’ll find yourself in scenarios where you just don’t have a super effective move at your disposal, and worse yet, backed into a corner against a stalling monster with a ton of resistances. Well, if you’re lucky, that’s where our pick this week comes in. Gentlemen, ladies, get out your rose-tinted spectacles of optimism, because this is Ability of the Week: Tinted Lens!

Saturday Sketch

Welcome to another edition of Saturday Sketch!

I am your Host the man they call… Kay...

But anyways let’s start this thing off RIGHT!

This Saturday Sketch’s topic is pertaining to the Extreme Speed segment on the Podcast.

“Which by the way I think is a great new Segment!”

There was some talk over some baby Pokémon and which one was better, so my idea was why not find a Sketch that has a bunch of Baby Pokémon for you to enjoy this week?

I realize that this is not all of them however it’s still an awesome Sketch to look at; overall my favorite part of this sketch is the Pokémon’s facial expressions.

This piece of work is simply called “Baby Pokemon” it was made the the deviant ~Rukari-Boy on deviantART.

Anyways this has been another edition of Pokémon Podcast Saturday Sketch, and you can all join me again next week at the same time, same place!

“I referenced a non-Pokémon related source in this edition of Saturday Sketch, Let me know if you get the reference in the comments below.”

Mewtwo Wi-Fi Event

Starting February 12th, English copies of Black and White will be able to download Mewtwo via Wi-Fi! It will come with Electro Ball, a move it cannot normally learn. The Mewtwo will more than likely match the Mewtwo that was given out in Japan last September forPokemon Smash, which came at Level 70, knew Electro Ball, Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere, and Psystrike, and was holding a King’s Rock. The end date for this download event was not announced.

Rare Article: How to Improve a Pokémon Team

You've got a decent team. It wins you a few of your matches, so there isn't much to complain about. But, it isn't working quite like it should. Something is missing. I'm here to help you find out whatever that is. Making a team is hard, but sometimes revising a team is even harder. Here are three tips for improving on an already finished team. Buckle your idiomatic seat belts, folks.

The Crystal Ball of Next Destinies Pre-release

Prereleases are upon us. Next Destinies is right around the corner and I have some quick predictions for cards that will help take you to the winners seat at your prerelease.

First and foremost as we’ve seen in almost every build of deck being played anything with an “outrage” ability is worth the time of day. Zekrom and Reshiram are both being reprinted and I can confidently say that in any type of deck you draft these two are worth it. The other “outrage” like ability is Regigigas’ raging hammer. 4 energy is a bit slower than I’d like in a limited deck but still very strong.
