Saturday Sketch

Hello everyone, And Welcome back for another Saturday Sketch!

This week we will be looking at a piece from the deviant *Figuritas

This artist has some pretty cool sketches of various Pokémon; also the artist has made some hilarious Pokémon HG/SS Comics that are defiantly worth checking out!

However on to this week’s Sketch!

Here we have an amazing image of the Three Musketeers, Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion.

What I rather enjoy about this one is the different facial expression on Terrakion.

Anyways you should all head on over to this deviantART page and check out this artist’s other works!

Anyways that’s all there is this week for Saturday Sketch,

Come on back next week for more sketchy goodness.   o_o

AOTW: Static/Poison Point/Effect Spore/Flame Body (again)

Trainers! Breeders! Assembled nerdom! Lend me your screens! Gather ‘round that we might discuss the most noble of Pokémon battling facets, the mighty Ability! Move in close, but don’t touch- that’s how terrible things happen. At least that’s the way it works with this week’s four—yes, FOUR—selections! This is Ability of the Week: Static, Poison Point, Effect Spore, AND Flame Body (again)!!

PKMN of the Week: Cleffa

Cleffa is not a power house in the Video Game world at all. With that being said, it can still find use it Little Cups. Cleffa can use it's hidden ability of Friend Guard to reduce damage done to allies in a double (or triple) battle by 25%. This is pretty drastic when it comes to baby Pokémon fight baby Pokémon. Cleffa also has a pretty vast moveset coming from Shadow Ball to Fire Blast and from Magical Leaf to Dream Eater. I personally think Metronome is a must have staple when running this family.

Saturday Sketch

Hello, Hello, Welcome back for this week’s Saturday Sketch.

This week I have a question for you all, Pertaining to the trainers in the Video Game,

Which Pokémon trainer is your favorite?

Go ahead just pick one, I’d Love to know! It can be a main character, supporting character, or any character that was in the video game, Also meaning Character classes. Click here for Bulbapedia’s list of Trainer Classes.

My favorite would be the Rockets.

This is because to me they are the most memorable enemy’s from the earliest Pokémon game.

However this week’s sketch is another comic that revolves around The Protagonist of Gold/Silver, and Trainer Joey.

Joey is possibly a very memorable trainer to many players of Pokémon Gold/Silver, because he always calls you at random times, to talk about his Rattata.

By now everyone should know Rattata is a top tier Pokémon, haha.

This comic was made by the deviant ~littlelenore

However leave me your responses in the section below, I would love to see who your favorite trainer is!

See you all next week!

AOTW: Shell Armor

Good morning, pokéfanatics! Your chubby buddy of an Ability editor feels like he’s finally recuperated from an insane holiday season, and he’s got a reasonably juicy passive power to sink his proverbial teeth into! We’ve been talking a lot about weather, buffs, battlefield control and the like lately, but this week we’re going back to my personal favorite subject matter: blunt force trauma. Or at least the prevention of such a thing. Ladies, gentlemen, let’s dive in. This is Ability of the Week: Shell Armor!

Shattered Gemstones Chapter 5: Aboard the Susanowa

Hey, sorry this took so long to get out. I was on a roll for a while, but ran headfirst into a mountain of writer's block that it took me a while to get out of. I know this chapter's a day late, but I just finished it and I didn't want you guys to wait another week. I was a little disappointing in how this chapter came out, compared to how I had planned it. Originally I had intended this chapter to be narrated in even parts by Toby and Damian, but Damian turned out taking the spotlight for the majority of the chapter. I had also planned for it to be longer, but it wound up this way for the sake of pacing, and I can live with that. On an unrelated note, I've been maintaining a blog where I've been posting things related to Shattered Gemstones, any other projects I do, as well as anything in my personal life that I feel like talking about. It's on Tumblr, but it's not just MLP gifs like every other account seems to be. I'm actually taking it seriously, because I feel like the people who are interested in my work should be able to know more if they want. Occasionally I even post bits of Shattered Gemstones before they're released here! :D Anyway, you can follow the blog at http://jmpetrequin.tumblr.com/ I think that covers everything, so, without further ado, enjoy chapter 5 of Shattered Gemstones!
