AOTW: Dry Skin

Another week, another Featured Ability! At the end of last week’s article about Intimidate, I promised something a little more obscure, and with a touch more subtlety this week. I’ve scoured Bulbapedia for ideas, looking at Abilities I’ve never even heard of, and I think I’ve found something interesting to discuss. Go grab yourself a bucket-load of moisturizer! This is Ability of the Week: Dry Skin!

Jigglypuff is Satan

So if any of you guys realised, there was no fact yesterday. Yes, I know this is very heartbreaking, but I actually did have a fact all written out and pretty and it committed suicided and died. *tear* May you rest in peace little post that I didn't bother to type up again. You will get your fact next week, but to make myself feel less guilty, I needed to post. I wanted to share a video with you guys, if you haven't already seen, that I think it will amuse you guys. It's a video where they try to explain that Pokemon is evil and it even includes Jigglypuff as the Devil. Once again, logic never wins. So enjoy that.

There is only one hour left until the live podcast? Am I the only one excited about that? I have a quick question to give to you guys before I depart; I keep refereeing to you people as "you guys", because it's a general term for both males and females. I am really curious about that gender stats on this site. I know I'm a girl and so is Catie, but are there any other female listeners? That is all I guess. I promise a fact next Tuesday!!! <3

How Serious is Nintendo?

The use of external devices to alter the Pokémon in a player's party is expressly forbidden. Random checks will be performed throughout the tournament to determine whether or not an external device has been used to modify a player's party. Players found to have Pokémon that have been tampered with will be disqualified from the event, regardless of whether the player tampered with his or her game or received a Pokémon or item that was tampered with by someone other than the player. It is the player's responsibility to have legal Pokémon. Event officials have the final...

PKMN of the Week: Crawdaunt

Crawdaunt is a very powerful, violent Pokémon. Its strong pincers allow it to use moves such as ViceGrip and even Guillotine. Crawdaunt often wildly flails its pincers, and also may use them to pick up and toss other Pokémon out of its pond. Due to its proficiency with its sharp pincers, Crawdaunt may possess the ability Hyper Cutter. Its tough outer armor also enables it to have a sturdy defense, which can be seen with its ability Shell Armor. As a Water-type, Crawdaunt can also use Water-type moves such as Bubble and BubbleBeam.

Trivia:

  • Crawdaunt's original name was Lobstar, referring to the star on its head and the word lobster.
  • Crawdaunt is the only dual-typed Pokémon that has Adaptability.

Pokemon Concept Corner: Region-locked

Geography is an interesting thing. ...okay, that's a lie, but in this case it can actually be pretty cool. Today, we're going to take a bit of a different route(see what I did there?), and look at the regions throughout generations I-IV, from real-world basis to atmosphere and location. So jump on in, let's do this thing!
