New 3DSLL Models Featuring Pokémon Battle Trozei!

The Pokémon Daisuki Club (the principal Japanese Pokémon fan club) website and CoroCoro Magazine (a publication noted for breaking many Pokémon-related news stories) have confirmed not one, but two new Pokémon Battle Trozei!-themed 3DS LL (the name Japan uses for the 3DS XL) models. The first model is white with 113 different Pokémon faces on the front cover. These Pokémon are mostly random and feature Mewtwo, Charizard, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde. The second model is black with only 18 Pokémon faces. These faces belong to the cover mascots of every mainstream Pokémon title excluding Pikachu from Yellow Version but including both Venusaur and Blastoise from Green and Blue Versions.

It appears that the white model will only be given out through a contest run by the Pokémon Daisuki Club website while the black model will only be awarded in a sweepstakes run by CoroCoro magazine. The number of white models to be given away has yet to have been determined while CoroCoro will only be awarding five black models.

While no plans for bringing either of these consoles to the west have been announced, their arrival here would not be unprecedented. While the Pikachu-themed 3DS was originally only known to be available for the Japanese audience, the U.S. received it later last year. These Trozei-themed systems could very well follow suit.
