Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened, Starring Mega Mewtwo

In celebration of the October 12th worldwide release of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y video games for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, Cartoon Network will host a special Pokémon animation event on Saturday, October 19th. Pokémon fans in the U.S. can catch the debut of Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened, starring the extremely powerful Red Genesect and Mega Mewtwo, followed by a sneak peek of the newest season of the Pokémon animated series, Pokémon the Series: XY. The brand-new season is set in the world introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y and features Pokémon making their animation debut like Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. Director from GAME FREAK inc., Mr. Junichi Masuda, also announced Pokémon Bank—a new Nintendo 3DS application and service that allows Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players to conveniently store up to 3,000 of their beloved Pokémon on the Internet.  Pokémon Bank gives players the flexibility to store and deposit 100 Boxes worth of Pokémon. This is in addition to the Boxes found within Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, just like in previous Pokémon titles.

Additional features of Pokémon Bank include the ability to deposit and withdraw Pokémon from multiple copies of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Once a Pokémon X or Pokémon Y Game Card is inserted into a Nintendo 3DS system or the downloadable version of the game is opened, the Pokémon Bank software can be turned on for use. Players can then transfer Pokémon from multiple copies of the game via Pokémon Bank to one copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y.

Get Your Extremely Rare Shiny Dialga at GameStop Now!

With Pokémon fans already counting down the days to the October 12th worldwide launch of Pokémon X andPokémon Y for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, an extremely rare and exciting opportunity to receive your own Shiny versions of the Legendary Pokémon Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina begins today in the U.S., only at participating GameStop stores. Each Shiny Legendary Pokémon is available for only three weeks each, so Trainers will need to plan accordingly to take advantage of this special opportunity.

2013 Pokémon Championship Winners

Winners of the invitation-only tournament earned the title of Pokémon World Champion, received a special World Championships trophy featuring Pikachu, won a trip to next year’s World Championships in Washington, DC, andcollected scholarship money. The Pokémon Company International has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships since it began running the tournaments.

Oorotto Revealed

The Nintendo Direct trailer that  aired on the Nintendo eShop trailer (on July 30th) showed the Pokémon known as 'Oorotto'. The new Mewtwo form was also shown using a DNA-like move. The trailer also shows us that Fennekin learns a move called Glow Punch.
