Zoom into Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a young Vincenzo Balistreri, age 10, is at his Grandmother’s house. His cousin shows him the Base set “Zap” starter deck. From this point forward, he is consumed by card games. Playing everything he can get his hands on. Spending tens of thousands of dollars and with years and years of time invested into card games he now finds himself here, the Trading Card Editor for Pokémon Podcast.
Hey kids. My name is Vinnie and I’m 22. I’m a huge fan of all card games, but especially the Pokémon TCG. It was the first TCG I ever played and though I’ve never been a competitive player until recently, it is a game that I love. On top of playing card games I’m also a huge fan of board games. A game night is always a good idea. Some of my favorites are Space Alert, Mr. Jack and Hacienda. I’ve graduated college with a degree in creative writing and hope to be writing television one day. Until then, I’m looking for work in social media management. I’m a bicyclist and a vlogger. I ride a single speed Schwinn that is named Silvia. I post to my vlog weekly. Here on the site my articles will be driven by card selection. The cards that I think are great and the cards I think we should be looking to include in our decks.
