What an exciting week it has been so far, no?
We have had some extraordinary news!
If you have absolutely no idea what I am talking about then perhaps you should pay a visit to another article first? And by another article, I mean one you can find here on the site. News Editor Andrew (aka @Moebeetus)wrote up an article on this special news! “Pokémon X and Y Announced!”
If you are too lazy to go there…then let me give you a brief synopsis.
X and Y are the names of the NEW Pokémon Titles for Generation VI!
Yes, it’s true! Generation VI “6” has been announced by Pokémon/Nintendo!
So guess what that means for me at this time?
MORE SATURDAY SKETCH MATERIAL!
Yes! This gives me more material to show to you guys!
Rather then Generation I-V Sketches/Fan Art, I can bring you a new Generation with more Pokémon to see! That is once more Pokémon are released!
Finding more Generation VI material will be my main focus on Saturday Sketch for a while, I promise it wont all be content from Generation VI and I will switch it up from time to time!
But guys, this news really excites me, as it should you!
So, with my entire hullabaloo about Generation VI and plans for Saturday Sketch, lets move on to it!
So with the announcement of Generation VI the starter Pokémon were announced as well!
- Chespin – The Grass Starter
- Fennekin – The Fire Starter
- Froakie – The Water Starter
It’s clear which one will be the best as long as it’s NOT FIRE/FIGHTING.

But as you could probably guess, only minutes after Generation VI’s announcement, Wild Fan Art Appeared!
I see many good things being said about these three.
Many are saying they are the best looking starters ever made!
Also that all three are loved and it will be a very interesting choice to make once the time comes to pick only one!
What I like about this sketch is… EVERYTHING!
It’s amazing how in such little time, such amazing stuff can be made!
Each Pokémon is absolutely adorable in their own Pokéways!
